Who We Are:
M. Douglas Lowe. Founder/CEO
BuildSAGE is a homeowner representation company led by Doug Lowe. Doug has extensive experience with over three decades in commercial and residential construction development. Doug has had direct responsibility for over 200 million dollars of construction projects in Charlottesville and other Central Virginia areas.
Doug previously founded and led a Charlottesville-based general contracting firm for 27 years before selling the business. After extensive involvement on the construction side, he was aware that owners needed better representation of their interest in construction projects to achieve greater project success...both in terms of quality and value.
Contactors and Homeowner Representation
A large part of our homeowner representation services is selecting highly qualified contractors. BuildSAGE carefully selects reputable licensed contractors that meet the following BuildSAGE criteria:
Proven history of high-quality projects, on-time, and on-budget
Excellent reputation… We check at least three references and research online comments
Licensed by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR)
At least five years of experience
Have liability and worker’s compensation insurance
